Vrbo Agreements

We ask all users to be responsible for their use of this website and for any transactions made either by listing a property or by renting a property. We do not own or manage holiday properties listed on a website. The website offers an online marketplace that allows property owners and managers who advertise on the site (each a “member”), to offer for rent to potential tenants or tenants (each a “traveller” and, with one member, “users”), a vacation or short-term property. “Members” may also include property owners or managers who originally promoted their real estate on another site and whose offers were redistributed on the site. We may also offer online bookings or other tools or services to allow users to communicate with each other and enter into leases or other transactions. By using a rental agreement as part of the booking services or otherwise announcing rent conditions as part of the online booking process (including the conditions we may request), the Traveller and The Member accept the terms of the rental agreement or any other condition in the booking process (including, but not limited to the terms of the cancellation refund) from the date the user indicates the acceptance of the booking or the rental agreement. You acknowledge and accept that (i) you are fully responsible for these terms and conditions, (ii) any rental agreement provided by the site or a rental agreement copied and inserted by one of the parties in ReservationManager (or any other online booking tool on the website); is used only at your own risk and at your own expense, (iii) nothing in booking services, these conditions or a standard rental agreement is a substitute for the advice of a lawyer and (iv) that you have been heresafter advised to obtain local legal advisors to prepare, verify and revise all leases to ensure compliance with federal, regional and municipal laws and their particular circumstances, and to provide the rental contract in accordance with the rental work in order to present the property accurately. rules, functions, etc. I own and own several properties in Hawaii via VRBO and AirBnB. I have never had any major problems, but I recently had an incident that led me to make an adjustment to all my leases in the future. Apparently, it is our responsibility to check each version of their affiliate sites in each language for each offer. I explained the situation and the representative of the VRBO confirmed the discrepancy and said that after this policy, it was actually towards me and that they would not help in any way. Now she is using this policy as an excuse for recrimination and threatening me with her “legal team.” I`m 99% sure they`re scammers and I`m not worried with anything about their return rights, but a simple solution is to add this to your leases.

@Mike V. thanks for the heads in the air.
